Early on Saturday evening the host machine that TNN runs on suffered a HDD failure on one of its disks. This necessitated a protracted (roughly 4 hours) outage while a tech traveled to the Data Centre, the machine was downed, a new replacement drive fitted, and then the RAID array re-joined and re-built.
Due to the RAID technology that was implemented at this machine's commissioning no data should have been lost.
Our apologies for the unexpected outage. If it is any consolation the Data Centre team were excellent, responding rapidly, and working well past midnight to bring things back on line for us, in a very short time frame.
