Hemp Fleece Inserts?

Post by milipidi » Thu Mar 22, 2012 11:00 am

I finally got around to dragging out the sewing basket today and found 1/2m of hemp fleece. I am guessing I brought this when I was feeling clever and thought I could sew my own nappies. :smt044

My question is can I use it to sew up some inserts for my pocket nappies? If so, how many layers? If not what can I use it for?

Thanks

You can totally use it for that :)

I made inserts with hemp and microfibre, or hemp and burley knit terry.
But you could use it on its own too, I made inserts 30cm x 30cm (2 layers) for smaller nappies (fold lengthwise into three) or 30cm x 40cm (again 2 layers) for bigger naps.

Have fun! And Wash it lots to get its absorbency up, just chuck it in with your other washing 8-)

Thank you! That sounds so easy it makes me wonder why I didn't do it earlier. :)
