What are your current yarn projects?

Post by goose » Sat Mar 28, 2015 2:26 pm

I have just finished a cardigan for dd2. It's an olearia but with a long stocking stitch body and cap sleeves. It just needs the buttons sewn on and blocking \:D/

I have 2 kidlets in progress, for nieces.

I have another olearia in progress, for dd2. It has a long stocking stitch body and full length sleeves. Just the sleeves to go, then buttons and blocking. It's been sitting there for about a year though, so no reason to get a hurry on now

I also have a baby jacket on needles, you know that iconic kiwi baby knitted jacket? Was just to use up wool really, but will finish that for a newborn nephew.

That's pretty much it at the moment  which is an unusually low number of wips for me.

How about you? :knit:

I'm doing a mindless knit scarf for DH. I was pattern testing for someone but it just wasn't working for me so I frogged it.

I am doing an Olearia too, for my Miss almost 4 (in size 6 haha). About two rows left on the last sleeve. Have ordered some buttons, can't wait to see it all done. I am also doing an Oriental lily for same daughter, just the sleeves to go. Next I am going to do my son an alligator scarf, daughter a quaintly (I have gradient dyed wool for this, very excited about it), and then I am going to do myself a scarf. I REALLY love knitting

I'm being totally selfish and knitting a Strokkur for me, a pair of vanilla socks for me and a Evenstar Shawl for me. Ian wants more socks though, so might have to cast some on for him shortly.

I am knitting a Florrick by Letes Knits for myself. I was testing it, but she released it early. Also doing another test knit of a NB jersey.

In the pipeline is:

Deinte in DK for niece
Aisling for me
Mawghan for a special baby (Blanket)
Milo & Longies for the same baby
Fletcher for A
Socks for N

That's it for now. Who knows what else I will add to the list

Hmmm that is the ultimate question isnt it.

from oldest wip to newest

#1 My second sock - (first time knitting socks and Ive got second sock itis)
#2 Dads second glove (creating this pattern to fit his hand that he had crushed in "67" and is like a crab claw so is interesting to say the least)
#3 Memory blanket - this is ongoing as I get nuggets and will be complete when it is cot size.
#4 Jessie Ivy - this was a MKAL that I got annoyed with so put it in the corner and missed the Kal completely
#5 Mawghan Blanket - which is another MKAL and we are up to clue 6 only 1 more to go and love it, its like a sampler blanket
#6 Shhhhhhh - cant say cause its super secret test :lurk:
#7 My second bunnie and to finish the face on the first bunnie
#8 Just casting on a garden path and/or yuletide for my mum and mil for mothers day

So not much really.

I was thinking this morning about when the Rainbow dress pattern was THE in thing to knit, and we all used to wait with baited breathe for The Wool Company to release their new yarn colours.

BTW, they have a new colour... http://www.thewoolcompany.co.nz/shop/kn ... olour/Surf
