Medical Supplies for Zimbabwe

Post by embejo » Wed Aug 20, 2008 9:58 am

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you know about a little project I've been working on collecting medical supplies for the Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe. I started out with 4 pallets of good which blew me away, but it has just got even better. The same company that donated the 4 pallets has just given me $50,000 worth of goods.

I'm so excited, but at the same time really need help to raise the money for shipping. I am hosting a giveaway on my blog to raise funds as well as promote the project. Could you all have a read of my post about it and pass it on as much as you can. If you only have a dollar to spare, don't think it's too small. Every little bit counts. The medical goods will really make a difference for people in Zim where life is getting really hard.

Here's the link to my blog post about it. Calling for Help!!

Thanks so much.

Honestly when people say they want to give it make me want to cry. People are so generous. Bubbles...you're a trooper! You gave such beautiful stuff to S. Africa too. I'll pm you details. Could you email me or pm me your address for a receipt too.

I'm waiting for quotes....to get a quote we need to give the cbm and weight but we only collect the goods on friday so it's a bit tricky. I'm guessing about $8,000 but that's just a stab in the dark.

The link in your OP doesn't work anymore but I found it anyway on your blog. Can you pm me a bank account as I'd sooner do this than paypal. Thanks.
