Thanks chantelle. I've been in contact with Shae too. I'll talk to my friend as we can probably cover postage from this end :)

I just thought I'd give people a wee update since so many of you have been so generous. I have PM'd everyone I have received things from (except Alia but I'm sure you know your Mum dropped them off okay :)) so please if you have sent stuff that I haven't received can you let me know to keep an eye out for it :)

The wee girl was due to land in Auckland on Friday and her Dad was flying up to meet her. I haven't had it confirmed that she arrived as my friend is away for the weekend but I think she would have let me know had there been a problem. She will stay in Auckland this week and flies down to be reunited with her family this coming Friday. I'm looking after my friends wee girl on Thursday so she can help the wee girls mother get her room all set up for her. She is going to have such a lovely room with pretty things to come home to thanks to the generosity of lovely Kiwis and the response we have had has really blown us away. So once again Thanks to everyone who has been able to help is any way at all.

Wow, I cannot even imagine being separated from one of my children for 18 months, and at that age! It is unbelievable.

What a lovely thing you are doing for this family. I would love to hear future updates on this family and their wee girl and new baby so please do keep us updated.

Is there anything more they are needing?

There's no rush Chantelle the baby isn't due for another 5-6 weeks :D I know you have been super busy and really appreciate the time you've already taken over this. Just whenever you can is awesome :D

Thanks Nicky

Now for an update

She's HERE and tonight for the first time in over 2 years she's at home with her Mum and Dad :D :smt041 :smt060
I've been looking after my friends wee girl today so she could get things ready and take them to the airport etc. She said it was very emotional but just perfect and a truely amazing things to be a part of. The wee girl is apparently tiny but healthy looking and just beautiful.

I just wanted to quickly update you all on how things are going for this lovely family. DD1 has been slowly settling into life in NZ and back with her family. As you can imagine it is a huge adjustment for both parents and child but things are slowly slotting into place now I think. The other big news is that DD2 was arrived last weekend. I don't have a lot of details apart from that she was tiny but healthy and both baby and Mum are doing okay, and apparently she is just beautiful.
My friend popped over this morning to pick up the nb/small kit for them to use to there will now be another gorgeous wee cloth bum here in the Hutt. From me a thank you to everyone for your generosity and my friend is hoping to get on here sometime soon and pass on her thanks as well :D
