Button Boo Hip Snap

Post by mandli » Thu Jan 10, 2008 9:17 am

Available from JNSFNZ on here for $5

I love this pattern. It fits Maya really well, but it's not bulky in from like a front snap and not puffy like side snaps often are. The pattern is really well presented and comes with two cutting lines, one for a day nappy and one for a night nappy. For prints I use the night nappy line and add a cm onto the wings.

This is my DH's favourite nappy to put on our little wriggly worm. He says he finds it the easiest to do up while Master K is trying to crawl away.
I really like sewing this pattern - for the 3 print pockets I've made from it I've used the day line and didn't add any extra to the wings but then found that on paper the pattern is larger than the WW m/l which is a tad too big for DS.
Can't wait to try the night version.

(Hmmm wondering if I could adapt this pattern to a fitted since I like snap placement so much....)

Judy also does a sized side snap too which is great if you are after a large side snap. Hip and side snaps come in small, medium, large and I think there is NB as well.

And you can fit 3 mediums on 1/2 yard. Note the large is too high in the rise for a 1/2 yard piece.

I love this pattern too.

Sasha used to fit WW side snap really well but as she's gotten older, its a bit boofy in the front. The hip snap is so much more trim in the front!

This is my fav pattern to use at the moment. Economical on PUL. My husband likes this nappy because he prefers front snapping. Really easy pattern to sew up to.

Yep pm her. You need to have a paypal account. She reduces the price slightly depending on how many patterns you 'order' (I got m and l hip and side snap)

Thanks for your comments; I'm glad you like the patterns :)

Instructions for the patterns are now available, and I've just developed a fixed pricing structure, since I guess the demand isn't going away any time soon

If any previous customer wants a copy of my how-to's, let me know! And I appreciate any updates on weight ranges that the patterns are fitting, as the more info I can give people looking at buying the patterns, the better (by email please).

Thanks again! Sorry I'm not around so much any more, but rest assured I'm spreading the cloth word over here in the US and getting people making their own.

Has anyone tried this pattern as a cover? Would you need to make adjustments to it?

aha, so it seems you'd have to size up if using FOE.
