KIND HEARTED: Photographer Louise Treherne with daughter Scarlett, 3,
is taking pictures to fundraise for the family of Aria MacDonald
who is awaiting a lifesaving operation.
Photographer Louise Treherne is selling her work to raise funds for a desperately ill toddler.
Little Aria MacDonald is awaiting a lifesaving operation in the United States.
The three-year-old was born with a rare and incurable bowel condition and needs an intestinal, kidney and liver transplant to survive.
The New Zealand government will fund the $2.6 million operation in the US but Aria and her family will need to stay there for three years and need money to cover living expenses.
Neither parent is eligible for a work permit and face a tough financial situation.
Louise, who met Aria's mother Anita through a networking group for parents, was moved when she heard the story."
