I would, but I don't have transport, I'm walking on Friday, but I'm not gonna walk all the way just to check that. How about whoever booked the library in the first place give them a call and ask?

Also, don't you guys think you should move this discussion to one of the less public forums (or PM) so you don't scare away newbies?

Just to put my two cents in, yeah, it would have been nice to get a heads up on calling it quits on Saturday, but then I could have made sure everyone (or at least Mel) had my celly number, but I didn't. My fault, over it :)

Fine
I can't do this anymore. I just wanted to promote cloth nappies to people who are missing out because they don't know any better. I'm sorry that I have a sense of responsibility that isn't compatable with you're "she'll be right" kind of attitude and I don't feel like discussing it anymore. I only got involved because it seemed like you guys could do with my help.

I won't help anymore, I won't make posters and I won't go to the nappicinos. If you could please choose someone to be the new contact person for the libraries I will arrange for this to be changed with them.

And before anyone jumps up to point out that this is hypocritcal of me I am not cancelling the nappicinos, I am giving the responsibility to someone else, as I don't feel wanted here.

well that would citrus.

and kimber we did try, Jenny and Kirsty got msgs that it was quits, but they were the only numbers we had on us. We figured seen as you and Citrus were already in town somewhere it wasnt that big a deal. I just hope you didnt rush your lunch???
Oh and the wool cover does that need lanolising? I dont know if natrual wool does or not?? I assume not? (im writting a how to use and how to care for list for the winner)
oh and what would a large one cost??? its so pretty. Oh and I gave one of the NB wraps to a preg mate yesterday, she thought it was pretty, the rest are going to another mate whos just had her bubba on sunday!!! YAY! so im just waiting for that polite "let you settle in at home before I visit" time frame before I take them to her. Thanks for them!

well ive been to the dinsdale library a hundred times i personally dont think we will need a sign the entrance to the community room is in the doorway of the library with community room on the door. the library is fairly small and dont think its that hard to work out. but if anyone else wants to have a look and tell me otherwise go for it thats just my opinon

other questions: do we need to bring the tables or are there some there? do i need to bring the playpen?

are we having refreshments? and whos organising what?

do the bookings allow for cleaning up at the end like 15 mins after 12 to pack up and vacume if need be or do we need to start that at quarter to 12? and do we need to bring a vacume cleaner or is there one there?

well for petes sake citrus, just put me down as the contact person then like theres going to be any need for it. Ive done everything else, I might as well do this too. Melissa 0210576124 If they want a landline tough I dont have one remember,

And If you cant hack us defending our selves dont go on about what a bad day it was.

You didnt get a parking ticket for unloading a van of stuff, you didnt go home with a broken gazebo, you didnt go home and sort thought all the wet nappies and torn flyers, NO you stayed in town and sulked about us leaving with out asking your permission! SO try and belittle me all you want I took control of the situation and dealt with it.
And you happily handed out flyers 5 mins away, why not hand them out at the spot???

As I said before I am not discussing it anymore.

I have changed those details and I checked the times were right too. Dinsdale library gave me a scare when they said that it was booked by someone else, but she was looking at the wrong day. So you are all set.

Good luck for your nappicinos, I hope you have a large turnout.

i'm fine about it, I was on cruise mode that day anyway :) i got to go home, put my grumpy baby to bed and relax for the rest of the day 8-)

The wool cover is'nt lanolised, but can be used unlanolised, but it will be more effiecient if it is lanolised. I would probably charge about $20 - $25 for a large soaker, depending what wool it was made of. Does that wink mean your thinking about one for your lad? take a number  I have a huge list of knitting I have to do

Glad those wraps are going to get some use, I made those before Scarlett was born - and before I learned to knit and got addicted! I haven't crocheted since

I aquired a HUGE stash of wool on cones from my dads partner who used to have her own knitwear label when they moved :) I have enough wool to last me the rest of my life and I still buy more

Is there something I can do Mel? Umm, I can't bake, we are pretty broke, I don't have transport, and I'm kinda a doofus when talking to people I don't know... but what needs to be done? Give a list and maybe then we can jump in if it is something we can help with?

I think there are tables there.

I can organise some tea & coffee, cups, sugar & milk. I can go to the library tomorrow and see what we need - probably a kettle too??

I'm not sure if I can make it on saturday as DH wants to clean out the garage - but two hours out wont hurt.
Kirsty, Wife to Mark & SAHM to Corey (July 03) & Jayda (Mar 06) - our nappy days are officially over!!

well my idea of organising it was "go to supermarket, buy heaps of bikkies and food we dont really need to be eating  , turn up, eat food, talk nappies" thats my plan lol. sound like a plan?? I did orginally think "bake food" but no... i think it needs to be edible lol.

there is a cup issue if we do coffees... Im not keen on throw away, but i donno if i can be fagged lugging a whole lot of mugs to the library  ideas?? just do throw aways??
