Just so every knows whats happening...

I am still trying to find a venue that doesn't cost much... if anyone has ideas here please let me know.

I will come back to everyone who wants to help when we have avenue, the more the merrier!

BTW - does anyone have an opinion on what day it would be best to have it on? I was thiking either Sat or Sun to give people who work the opportunity to come along.

And are there any WAHMs that would like to attend and perhaps show-off (or even sell but have to run this past TNN committee) naps?? Perhaps if we got enough WAHMs who wanted to do this and were prepared to donate a small amount per nap sold it might help pay for a venue?? Just thinking out loud...

BUT we're running out of time...

HELP think venue people...

Cheers
Janine

I will come along, but I'm not really that onto it at the moment, so won't offer my services to help organise. Although it sounds like you ladies are getting things sussed.
Hopefully bubs won't have arrived by then

Janine, I could try to help out.

I think central would be good. How about anyone's Playcentres? I could ask at mine, but is a bit less central (blockhouse bay). Think they would be happy to let us use for nominal charge ($20). I think Grey Lynn/Mt Albert areas could be good. Ema, do you go to Mt. Albert PC? could you ask them?

Think if it is central, can we get an ad in the central Leader or soemthing, for two weeks before?

and posters on community noticeboards?

and a poster up at Nature baby?

And an auction on Trade Me to advertise it?

no marie! bubs HAS to be out by then, so bubs can model the teeny tiny NB naps! :smt050

blockhouse bay is pretty central to me

maybe posters at ecostore, east west organics, the organic place in grey lynn (?), fabric barn?!

what would we need to provide? a variety of our own naps if the wahms aren't involved?

how about a mini sewwaccino? i know for me that sewing my own is a bit cheaper than buying them.. i've got a few of the jan 06 mums doing GBs diy kits!

i will keep thinking... let me know what i can do :smt023

Rightho...

Poster done... let me know if you can put them up anywhere and I will send you some... just let me know how many you want.

Confirmed: SUNDAY 30TH APRIL
10.00AM - 12.00NOON
GREY LYNN COMMUNITY CENTRE (OVAL ROOM)
510 RICHMOND RD
GREY LYNN

I will be contecting diff people about doing diff things in the next week... meanwhile lets get some posters up and start telling people...

I am thinking a couple of tables set-up...
* info on the TNN and info on cloth nappies in general
* info on sewing your own (and perhaps a free pattern?)
* Coffee, tea and bickies
Making a big point here on the info being non-specific about brand and anyone chatting on the day trying to be relatively neutral about brand/type as we are promoting all MCN and diff things suit diff people.

I want to hand-out brochures thou - so any and all WAHMs I am happy to hand out brochures/cards, etc. PM me.

Ideas welcome...

Cheers

I can contribute with some tea and coffee, and I can help that day.
It might be a good idea to put up poster in the libraries? especially those days when Storytime is happening?
I could do that , put up posters in around 10 libraries, near me are Papatoetoe, Manurewa, Otara, Pakuranga, Howick, East Tamaki, also I can do Ranui, Henderson, New Lynn, Glen Eden, Ah! and Manukau.

We could ask Plunket if we could put some up in their notice boards may be?

Let me know how I could help.
