For the fit on mine yes leg length was good but rise slightly too short
3months, 62cm, ?,?,?
made 64cm size - good fit as leggings, just needed a bit extra in the rise. (maybe need 3cm extra?)
Yes, fold lines would be helpful.
For me personally I don't like patterns with included seam allowances but I have a feeling I'm in a small minority there. I probably didn't use the full 1cm allowance when sewing this up - it'd be the standard 6mm overlock seam.
Also, when you are making items where the recipient is not at hand it would be helpful to have an "average" elastic length requirement for each size. Also for less experienced people a suggestion of a recommended elastic width.
Will borrow niece again during the week to get the measurements I don't have.
If I can I'll also try over a night nappy to see what the extra rise would need to be.

Here's another pair I made today out of one way stretch merino. I added maybe a cm at most to the rise across the top to take lack of stretch this way into account and they are great.

Size of baby - age 12months,height 78cm and weight about 10kg, inside leg, rise (from centre crotch seam to where you'd like the pants to fit at the back)
Size of pants made 72cm, fit - pants (not too lose or tights), rise - good fit - might be 1cm short if being fussy
Love the one piece design. so easy and fast to make
P.s. will fill in the rest when DD stay still for me!

Would anyone be happy to take a nice posed picture of their child in the leggings that I could use on my pattern?
I'd need a good quality photo (can email directly to me) and you'd have to be happy for your child to be my 'poster baby' for the pattern (I'll send you a copy of the finished pattern free
)
(for what it's worth I tried to take some photos and the cat got involved, and while they are cute they really don't show off the pants at all

Sorry its taken so long to get pics into you, this is the second pair I made using thicker stretch fabric this time worked so much better , added the extra 2cm to back nothing else modified
Just dont look so close as yes I forgot to reverse the pattern for second leg so stripes are upside down
72cms pants pattern on Elizabeth who is 75cms long and weights 9kgs (homemade pocket stuffed with bamboo trifold insert)
