Re: RNW 11-17 October - Auckland

Ive had a chat with my sister n law, she can advertise in Auckland government newspaper and on the website (for nothing) if we are holding the event in Auckland city...

So if we are clear on venue and dates *told her the dates that have been initially chosen, i will have to send her the add (i can make those in Photoshop by that time) and she will place it.. apparently the turn up form those adds are pretty good too \:D/

Oh that's great. What about the e-mail advert that the city council sends out about what's on around Auckland.

Just a few additional ideas. Many radio stations also have a "advertise your community event". I'm not sure if it's free/the cost but would be worth calling and asking. May be worth setting up a FB group too, as it gets closer/dates/venue confirmed? Slingbabies has had a lot of success with recruiting newbies from FB. If all of TNN cross posts it'd get fairly wide viewing and would be a non-obtrusive way to get the message out there.

Lunaty was volunteering to co-ordinate the list. I'm happy for her to do it so long as everyone else is.

If everyone is cool with it then send the list to me and ill start making some adds and see if i can get it announced elsewhere... more idea's are always welcome!

Do we have last years add still saved anywhere?
Also do we know who will have their stand there so i can put that out there too?

If it's not already up I can do the Facebook group too (though it may be a good idea for a sponsor to do this as it might link?).. just PM me your emails so I can add you all :)

For anyone that wants to send me idea's or other things:

sam_maantje@hotmail.com

Please keep me updated if there have been decisions made regarding venue/times/dates/sponsors so I can corporate that in the add just in case I miss it in this thread :detective:

Cheers girls :D
Looking forward to this one!

Over the last two years I've been the bossy britches... *sigh* not many people to delegate to last time.. those who did help were fab though

Fist year wrote an advetising lst and delegated it... last year was a total last minute affair and I ended up doing it.

Why dont we organise a planning nappacino?
I'm thinking evening or weekend (to minimise the number of big kids coming - babies always welcome)

Once we get our venue sorted (te atatu and welesley are maybes) we have a month or so to get the other balls rolling.

Why dont we offer a small discount to retaillers that came last year?

Good idea! Dh will be home to potentially look after Cole then or you girls are welcome to come to my place ..I do think a lot of the people are form West right it might be more of a mish to come to the shore?

evenings are always fine.. weekends mostly too as long as i know a couple of days in advance .. \:D/

Maybe we should wait with the retailer prices once we know what venue it's gonna be in regards to costs?
